Control itself.  ATC is a rail protection system, for railroads that engage the speed control mechanism in response to external information recorded in Tags placed on the railroad between the tracks.

This system can apply the emergency brake if the system identifies that there has been a violation of some signal along the railway, a red light, for example. In a distress signal, it can brake the train using an emergency brake such as Automatic Train Protection, but the Tag also records information about the slope of the track, the need to reduce speed or proximity to a community, or proximity to a station.

The ATC system completely completes the train's control in a computational way, making the train navigation system on the railroad much safer and also reducing the distance between trains (Head Away), increasing the productivity of the line, be it passengers or line. of rail freight.
